I left “corporate America” to sell real estate because I love going into other people’s homes! Seriously, I felt that I had what it would take to be a successful Realtor. What is that?? To me, a successful Realtor must have a wide range of skills = the ability to serve client’s needs, an intimate knowledge of a desired area, proven processes, solid negotiation skills, a sense of urgency, problem-solving expertise, creativity and these days solid therapy skills more than anything else! I felt like a perfect match to this profession and it seemed to be a good choice (see below). As a Realtor, it is critical to focus on and become an expert in each area that we serve. Why? To BEST serve our clients.

For my buyers, if you want to know the buildings w/solid condo associations, ask me. What about pet-friendly buildings? Ask me. Want lots of windows and private parking? Ask me. Which properties to avoid due to noise? Ask me. I’ve been in Chicago for 20 years and sell 30-40 properties a year, so I have experience, and doesn’t EXPERIENCE matter? I am also on the area zoning committee, keep up on area real estate going’s on and have managed to lead my office (25 or so Realtors) through the boom, the bust, and now stabilization. I’m happy to report we’re having a record year.

For sellers—staging, high watt light bulbs, air freshener, etc., but NO lockboxes. I show my listings so buyers understand property features, including the status of the association, amenities and so questions can be immediately answered. During a showing, I’m on stage–I’m offering my “spin”, educating buyers and getting excited about my client’s property so that (hopefully) buyers will get excited too.

FINALLY, I’ve won many sales awards for being a top agent in Chicago. Probably best summarized as being in the top 1-3% of all Chicago Realtors since I began my career in 2003. The one award I’m most proud of is being named Broker / Owner of the Year in Illinois (2015). Nice, eh? But what is really important (no kidding) is client satisfaction. This business is actually very simple–good service, knowledge, passion, and commitment. I have all those qualities and more. The best way to find out? Reach me via the “Contact Us” button, ask me, quiz me, and then you’ll know!
